MacDonald’s different menus worldwide?
The famous food chain has adopted a very unique policy, they serve the local and
cultural food items in their menu along with fast foods, wherever they go and this might
be the very reason for the limitless success of the food chain.
McDonald’s menus vary from country to country and some of these items on the
the menu is pretty famous too, such as the Netherlands’ Stroopwafel McFlurry, which
is a dessert served with the caramel sauce, waffle cookies called Stroopwafels and
vanilla served McFlurry, sounds yummy, Nah?
What’s new on the menu?

the food chain is planning to introduce 4 new items from its worldwide favorites
The items include “Grand McExteme bacon burger” from Spain,
Tomato-mozzarella chicken sandwich of Canada, Cheesy bacon fries from Australia, but all these 3 items aren’t the reason for the wide freak across America.
The real reason is the Stroopwafel McFlurry, which has found its way from
Business Insider’s groundbreaking news!
After McDonald’s shared the internal documents with Business Insider, the news
went viral like wildfire and was presented as ‘breaking news’ by various news sites
and social media pages.
Even on Twitter, there was a trend related to the new addition of items to the menu
especially the Stroopwafel McFlurry. The users gave mixed reactions to the new
addition, some said that they were impatiently waiting for the release, while others
called it a divine act of McDonald’s! Even one user-related the Grand McExteme
Bacon Burger to the Thanksgiving turkey, well that’s really funny, huh!
When McFlurry was adapted by McDonald’s?
It was summer of the year 1997 when Stroopwafel McFlurry was added to the menu
of McDonald’s in the Netherlands, it was an instant success inside the country because
Stroopwafel is in the Dutch culture since the 18th century and is pretty famous over
there, often referred to as syrup waffle there. It was then given the name of the
Stroopwafel McFlurry, and in the summers people would rush to the outlets for the
yummy vanilla or chocolate-flavored dessert.
But it took way too long for the Stroopwafel McFlurry to make it’s way to the outlets
How did Stroopwafel make it’s way to the US?
According to the internal documents of McDonald’s, shared with Business Insider, it
was the year of 2018 when McDonald’s started testing 4 new items at 50 different
outlets in the state of Florida.
The 4 new items included the Grand McExteme Bacon Burger from Spain, the
Stroopwafel McFlurry from the Netherlands, the BBQ McShaker fries from Malaysia and
McSpicy Chicken Sandwich from Malaysia.
Why are the other 2 items still not introduced?
The foodies of the US are still in search of answers that why the famous BBQ McShaker
fries and McSpicy Chicken Sandwich aren’t added to the menu, but McDonald’s
hasn’t said a word officially about this.
While on the other side, the food lovers are thanking the food chain company for
the enormous surprise of Stroopwafel McFlurry for this summer.
How does the Stroopwafel McFlurry taste?
Internet is flooding with thousands of Stroopwafel McFlurry taste reviews, most of
the reviewers describe the dessert as a sweet chewy caramel with lasts longer in
the mouth as compared to other caramels. While the other reviewers describe the
caramel as a delicious item and great addition to the menu of McDonald’s America
and are appreciating it… Even some of the reviewers are fans of its strong smell,
which is kind of appealing, the smell comes from the Stroopwafel and the caramel,
both mixed with each other. Haven’t ever really tasted the Stroopwafel McFlurry
but it sounds mouthwatering.
The custom-made spoon and Stroopwafel…!
The Stroopwafel in the McFlurry originates from the classic Dutch culture in the 18th
a century and has been mentioned in the Dutch folklore. It is a double-layered baked
dough thin biscuit-like structure with caramel filling in between both of the layers,
but bigger in size than a biscuit. The inventor of the Stroopwafels, Gerard Kamphusein wouldn’t have imagined ever that one day his bakery would get worldwide fame and people would go crazy for it.
Ever noticed the strange looking Stroopwafel McFlurry spoon?
Secondly, the most noticeable thing about the Stroopwafel McFlurry is it’s unique
the custom-made spoon which is hollow from inside but doesn’t looks like a straw
because of its large cubical structure. When I first saw that, it seemed a bit weird
and kind of strange, but after a bit of research, I stumbled upon the answer an
engineering expert and Ex-McDonald’s employee, who explained that they only fill
the cups with ice cream or caramel, then dump the Stroopwafels on the top, place
the spoon on its top and then all the stirring thing is done by the machine, with the
the help of the spoon, so these spoons are custom-made for it. While a small outgrown
thing is for attaching the spoon to the machine, nothing more, so next time when
you see a McDonald’s spoon don’t spread your eyes out of curiosity.
