Dell Inspiron 15 7572 Review

Dell Inspiron 15 7572 Review

One of the leading companies in the laptop industry is Dell and despite its many remarkable laptop line ups, Dell is mostly just known for its Inspiron series in the Indian market. Continuing its tradition Dell has launched its new Dell Inspiron 15 7572 that is priced nearly around Rs. 100,000 which is a lot of money looking at what the laptop has to offer. There are many other good laptops available in this price range that have better performance and a lot better design. But then who’s this laptop for?

Well for that matter here’s our full review of the Dell Inspiron 15 7572

Design and Build Quality

With such a high price tag, the Dell Inspiron 15 7572’s design is just pathetic with a lot of flaws. The Dell Inspiron 15 7572 weighs around 2 kilograms and has a thickness of about 20mm. Just like most of the other laptops in the market the Dell Inspiron 15 7572 is also a 15-inch laptop. Built quality wise the laptop does feel a little premium with a matte finish all over the body and shiny round edges. The interior frame is made out of magnesium alloy while the lid of the laptop is aluminum.  You can easily buy this laptop using Paytm Mall Offers with great discounts.

The display on the Dell Inspiron 15 7572 is a 15.60 inches IPS panel with a resolution of about 1920×1080 pixels and is around 99% color accurate and looks pretty decent even while looking at it from different viewing angles. The display on the Dell Inspiron 15 7572 has very tiny top and side bezels that make it look elegant but then again, the elegance is just trashed with one look at the big bottom chin of the display. The bottom chin of the Dell Inspiron 15 7572’s display is 3.5 centimeters thick and houses the front-facing nose camera and the Dell logo.

On the left side of the laptop, you can find two USB 3.0 ports, one 3.5mm jack port, an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, and the charging inlet while on the right side of the device you’ll find an SD card slot, a security lock, and a USB 2.0 port. The laptop misses out on an otherwise useful USB type-C port which is another downfall for this device.

The trackpad and the keyboard are just fine. The keyboard looks small on this device with no numeric keypad and really tiny arrow keys. The layout of the keyboard seems really small and weird since they are not using any of the huge space that they have left on the deck.

Features and Specifications

The Dell Inspiron 15 7572 comes in a lot of variants depending on your budget but the catch here is even you are paying about rupees 100,000 for the highest specs version the body does still remain the same just as the rupees 66,000 version.

Talking about the specs of the higher variant of this laptop, it rocks an intel core i7-8550U 8th generation processor clocked at 1.80Ghz with 8 gigabytes of RAM.

The good thing about the storage is the 128 GB of SSD which is a trend nowadays that every laptop manufacturer is adopting. The HDD, however, is of 1TB. The Dell Inspiron 15 7572 offers an Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU with 4 GB of video RAM.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7572 houses windows 10 Home edition that can be available with different options of antiviruses and Microsoft Office. Just like most of the other laptops in the market Dell also ships this laptop with their preinstalled bloatware which are theoretically made for easy use.

The overall performance of the Dell Inspiron 15 7572 is pretty mediocre but the laptop gets the job done somehow. Your daily routine stuff would not be a problem on this laptop and it will do most of the multitasking smoothly. In terms of performance best options available in the market and one can avail those using Mobikwik Offers with great deals.

However, if you like to play games now and then between works this laptop is definitely not for you. The gaming part of this laptop is okay for the i7 version but when you are paying such a high amount for a laptop you expect a lot better performance while the i5 version struggles a lot during gaming. The body does tend to get really hot after a while of gaming. The battery life is good. The Dell Inspiron should give you about 5-6 hours of battery life after a full charge which is probably more than enough for most people.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7572 is probably a laptop you’d want to skip. With no USB type-C and a camera that is positioned really badly the design is just not up to the expectations. You’ll get a mediocre performance for day to day tasks and a really bad gaming experience. The price of this thing with such specs is just a really big disaster. The Dell Inspiron 15 7572 comes with a price tag of about Rs.100,000  for the i7 version but then again for a price that high, there is a huge variety of options available in the market.
